For your Tool #2 Post in YOUR blog:
1. What are your thoughts about building an online education community and participating in a PLN? I think that the sharing of knowledge is an amazing acheivement. As a teacher in the 21st century, I have much more information available to me! This information enhances my teaching because I am able to bring so much more into the conversation and to the students...I'm IN!
2. What point stood out to you from the commenting advice? Comment if you have something to say! No one is blogging to listen to the keyboard keys...it is an invitation to join the conversation, debate or inside joke.
My best thought is to keep the comment in the same vein as the blog posting...if it is a professional blog, then respond professionally...if it is a debate - keep it clean...if it is an inside joke, then let us in on it so we can laugh and enjoy too.
3. What five blogs did you select for your comments? (you may need to come back and add this information later by editing this post.)
Cool Cat Teacher
11 Tools for the 21st Century
The Tech-Teacher Experiment
Glover's Science Emporium
Manchester's Blog Spot
I'm sure I'll find more in the future...
I liked your comment about only commenting when you have something to say. I do not enjoy comments like "yeah" or "me too". I don't know what they are talking about or what they agree to. Comments should be the text to a conversation. I hope your having a good summer!
ReplyDeleteI think with all the information that is avaiable to us, we should use this technology as a way to communicate to fellow teachers. I think sometimes we want to keep information to ourselves and look as if we are doing something spectacular. Blogs like this will help all of us share what we do and learn many things from others that will help all our students succeed.
ReplyDeleteWow, your Blog is unbelievable!! You have done soo much work on it. I am just getting started. I do love sharing with others...shareing my experiences, my resources, and of course my comments. Other than this experience, I think that you are very much right about leaving meaningful comments. Comments like "yeah" are easy to read, but don't really give a lot of feedback or facilitate the sharing community. Hope you had an awesome summer, its almost done. See you soon!
ReplyDeleteHi, Pam.. I was reading your blog. I liked it you have used a lot of the tools we can use in our classroom to improve our teaching. Like you said blogging is an invitation to share ideas or information with other persons or students regarding a topic. Good luck keep going.
